About K9 Retreat - Kennels and Grooming are what we do! Story At Whakatane Boarding Kennels and Cattery, pet care isn’t just a business, it’s a passion! Gina and Craig are trained veterinarians who live on site, with Gina practicing locally and Craig working for a leading Animal Health Company. The kennel accommodates up to 36 dogs in individual runs, with ample supervised time in secure outdoor paddocks to exercise and socialize. The cattery offers indoor and outdoor play areas, with each cat having its own private space to retreat to. Super Premium Royal Canin food is on the menu, and special needs can be catered for. Veterinary supervision gives you complete peace of mind when your pet comes to stay!
