Our mission is to advance the welfare of all animals by:
 - Preventing cruelty to animals
 - Alleviating suffering of animals
 - Promoting our policies through education and advocacy

Products
Adoption fees

CATS and KITTENS				$ 100 each unless otherwise stated.
Price includes desexing plus worm and flea treatment.
Cats require vaccination unless otherwise stated.

DOGS and PUPS					$250 each unless otherwise stated.
Price includes desexing, at least the first vaccination and microchip plus worm and flea treatment.
Dogs over six months of age are desexed before leaving the Centre.
Small puppies come with a voucher which covers the cost of desexing.
All dogs and pups must be registered with the Whakatane District Council before leaving the Centre. This is an additional cost, the maximum charge being $60.
"**Please note that adoptions are by appointment only**In 2014 the Whakatane SPCA Centre celebrated its 60th anniversary.Our new purpose built building was opened in 2003, thanks to strong support from our local community. This facility enables us to help more than 750 animals each year.We have a part-time staff assisted by more than 50 volunteers to look after the animals while they await their forever homes.The Whakatane Centre covers a large area encompassing rural, coastal and suburban communities within the Eastern Bay. We promote lifelong adoptions, responsible pet ownership and we aim to educate the public on animal welfare issues."
