The Whakatāne Library is your portal to great resources:
-	Free WiFi
-	Computers available for Internet use and word processing (free for 30 minutes per day)
-	Over 55,000 items in our collections, including magazines, DVDs, audiobooks, electoral rolls & car manuals.
-	eBooks & eAudiobooks
-	Over 35 databases available in our digital library, which provide access to worldwide information
-	Weekly Storytime sessions for pre-schoolers during the school term

It is free to join the library!

Simply come in to any of our four libraries and fill out a registration form.
We also offer free membership for residents of Rotorua, Tauranga, Taupō, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki Districts.
 
You will need to provide two forms of ID to join the library:
-	Photo identification (e.g. driver’s license, passport, student ID)
-	Proof of your current address (e.g. utility bill, bank statement)
You will receive your card the same day and can use it straight away.
