About Welcome to the Alpine Recreation page. We are all about outdoor adventures, specifically trekking, climbing, skiing & snowshoeing - plan your next adventure with us! Story Alpine Recreation is a company of professional mountain guides, based in Lake Tekapo, New Zealand. Since 1981 thousands of happy clients have used our all-inclusive tours to trek, climb and ski in the Southern Alps. Our two private huts in the Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park and Te Kahui Kaupeka Conservation Park (Two Thumb Range) mean we can offer our guests superior service in the mountains. The fact that all equipment is included in the price make our trips very good value-for-money.
