About Okopako Lodge is a family farm that provides accommodation in a garden setting with panoramic views of the countryside, native bush and Hokianga Harbour. Okopako aims to provide reasonably priced accommodation within a rural eco-farm and gardens setting. The spacious lodge has a comfortable lounge with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, and large sun decks looking out over the Hokianga harbour, countryside and native bush. Double, twin, family or dorm / shared rooms are available as well as onsite caravans, camp sites and camper van parking areas with a separate amenities block. All beds are fully made up. Ideal for family and tramping groups. Fresh organic produce, homemade bread and farmhouse meals are available. An organic vegetable garden, established fruit trees and a worm farm are features of Okopako. The accommodation facilities run on an energy efficient lighting system. DOC walkways begin at the gate and some walks on the farm itself are possible. Half of the farm is in native kauri forest where you can walk to enjoy the spectacular views. Stargaze while listening to the Morepork and Kiwis call at night – no need for a TV here! Not far from Opononi and Omapere beaches for Hokianga Harbour activities and a short drive to Waipoua Kauri Forest. The area is known for its relaxed natural beauty and vibrant arts community.
