About Original works of art by Laura Wilson. Selling around the world. Acrylic paintings on gallery wrapped canvas. Story Laura Wilson is a painter working mainly in acrylics. Subjects are varied; mainly landscapes, bird, flowers an abstracts. Since 2015 Laura has been painting in a studio at historic Pukeora Estate's old nurses home. Later that year she opened a gallery, located alongside Pukeora's Cellar door. Originally Pukeora was the site of a hospital built in 1918 to look after soldiers returning from the First World War, which continued to serve patients for the remainder of the century. At the turn of the millennium Pukeora became a north-facing hillside vineyard and boutique winery, and is a driving force in promoting the Central Hawkes Bay wine region.
