About A picturesque Central Hawkes Bay golf course - 18 holes situated on gently undulating old river terraces. Story Club No: 458 Mens: Par 70 5590 Metres NZSCR: 70.1 Slope Rating: 121 Ladies: Par 72 5012 Metres NZSCR: 72.3 Slope Rating: 115 Visitors are always welcome to play the course. Bookings are not required, but please check the calendar to see if the course is closed for a special event. If you wish to confirm tee availability, the green-keeper, Paul Mclean, can be contacted on his cellphone during the day: 0278 666678 or land line 06 85 85 661. Visitors are most welcome to play on club days. Turn up thirty minutes before the start time and put your name in the draw. The bar is open after play on club days. The course is located on a major highway with high traffic volumes, so please take care when entering and exiting the course. For travelers approaching from Waipukurau (north), there is a lay-by on the left of the road opposite the gates which can be used to allow the traffic to clear.
