About The home of entertainment in Christchurch, Addington Raceway concentrates on harness racing, events, functions, venue management and property development. Story Addington Raceway is the home of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club, Spectators Bar and Bistro, the Christchurch Casino NZ Trotting Cup and one of Christchurch's leading event & conference centres. From school balls, to meetings, to weddings, trade shows and and corporate conferences our Events Centre covers it all. We host free to attend Harness Racing Meetings every week and on the second Tuesday in November we also play host to New Zealand's biggest race day, Christchurch Casino New Zealand Trotting Cup Day. With over 25,000 people on course this is a social event not to be missed. Addington Raceway - we're truly diverse, with something for everyone!
