About The Art of Re-Incarnated Couture Story The Art of Re-Incarnated Couture I am a Maker and ReMaker of Things! I am Passionate about Re-using and Repurposing. I adore Vintage Textiles, Clothing and Furniture and I find huge pleasure and satisfaction in Re-incarnating objects that others have cast off. I particulaly enjoy working with things that are damaged and others consider to be “rubbish” The way that I work involves Deconstructing a piece and Rebuilding it with unique design elements that become apparent during the making, with the emphasis on Beauty, Useability and Longevity. This sounds simple but this is slow fashion and recreating these pieces often takes many hours and sometimes days with the challenges that present themselves in the process. Salvaged Materials come with their own life stories. Working within these Narratives is a Creative Journey of Discovery and a real Honour as many of the pieces I use have already been lovingly Handmade before coming into my hands. We are blessed to live on a Beautiful Planet and I would like to think that I and those who choose to wear and use these pieces are part of creating solutions to the problems we have on Earth now rather than just blindly consuming… Impressum Thanks for visiting...
