BEL Group milks 8,800 cows across 9 dairy farms totalling 2700ha, of which 1380ha is dairy support land. Farming systems are kept simple, profitable and repeatable with a focus on moderate stocking rates, turning grass into milk through grazing and filling the seasonal feed deficits with profitable purchased feeds mostly grown on BEL Dairy Support. BEL Group's business leadership and management structure has evolved over the last few years to create a fully managed business that supports repeatable and sustainable business results. BEL Group is led by an Advisory Board, chaired by owner/director Andrea Barry. This advisory board has four external governance advisors who, along with Andrea, set the strategic direction for BEL Group, monitor the business performance against plan and support the identification and management of business risk.
