About Serendipity- "The act of finding something delightful or valuable by chance..." Story Welcome to Serendipity Antiques & Collectables Timaru on Facebook (A page my eldest daughter motivated me to 'get on to') By liking our page, you receive a minimum 10% discount on all items at all times, and will be able to see regular updates/photos of new arrivals. Facebook is proving a great way to spot a “Serendipity” and purchase without even having to pop into the shop. If you need items couriered within NZ please send us a message/comment on our page, or alternatively email us for a quote. For our dear customers who come into the shop, it is always lovely to see you and hear of the new upcycled, recyled and vintage projects you have on, it has been fantastic seeing photos and gathering ideas. About us- Some twenty years ago we purchased our first home, an old villa. Marks sister brought us a couple of antique Alfred Meakin tureens as a house warming present, thus starting the need to go and find more pieces of the dinner set...and in turn an introduction and LOVE of all things vintage and collectable. Mark was a regular customer here at Serendipity, and so when the business came up for sale in March 2007, we made the purchase, I left my job in Pleasant Point and have been here since, I LOVE my job, and hours lol. We are located at the South End of Stafford street (45A), across from the Carlton Hotel in Timaru. Open Mon-Fri 10-4pm and Sat 10-2pm. I can ususally be contacted outside of these hours if needed for pickups, drop offs etc. Payment options in store are cash, eftpos, and visa. Internet banking for items purchased on facebook. Layby is available over a three month period for larger or more expensive items. The shop has a wide range of collectables, curios and interesting items from the 1970's and earlier, unfortunately due to time restrictions it is not always viable to photograph all stock for facebook, so please feel free to ask if you can't spot what you are looking for on our page. Our aim is to provide good vintage and collectable items at relevant and affordable prices. We also sell via trade me under the trading name 'loveserendipity' a great place to spot a bargain.
