About:
About It is time for the South Island & our people to free ourselves from Wellington & establish the South as the Sovereign and Independent Nation it should be. Story The South Island is the larger of the two major islands of New Zealand with a population of 1.038 million (Jun 2011) and with a land mass of 151,215 km², being 33% larger than the North Island is commonly referred to as the Main Land. The South Island produces 41.5% of New Zealand's total electricity generation. Produces 21% of New Zealand's national GDP Holds Natural Resources such as Gold, Coal, Oil, Gas, Fisheries, Wood, Uranium, Platinum, Silver, Iron, Limestone, and more. And has produced Greats such as Richard Pearse, Ernest Rutherford, Sir Harold Delf Gillies, Dr. John "Jack" Edward Lovelock, James K. Baxter, Fred Hollows, Colin McCahon, Colin Murdoch, Archibald McIndoe, John A. Lee, James Wattie, Sir Charles William Feilden Hamilton, Norman Kirk, Frances Hodgkins, Sir David Low, Charles Upham, Sir Richard Hadlee, Denny Hulme, Sir Mountford Tosswill "Toss" Woollaston. Yet, despite all this, the South Island still does not have any formal regional representation in Parliament. We believe it is time this changed! Mission We want: 1: Complete South Island Independence from the North Island & the Wellingtonian Government. 2: An end to Globalist Elite Trade Deals/Influence. 3: Diplomatic Neutrality (Switzerland of the South Seas). And 4: A return to genuine and total Sovereignty of the South and the Autonomy that comes with that.
