Story Hi I’m Nigel Bowen and I am an elected member on the Timaru District Council. Married to Jane we have two primary aged children and together we have run The Speight’s Ale House restaurant and The Landing Service Conference Centre for the past 14 years. I have a strong interest in Timaru being a strong vibrant city for generations to come and I look forward to being an advocate for sport, arts and culture within our community. My community involvement includes Chairperson of the Timaru CBD group, Board Member on the South Island Masters Games, President of Thistle Football Club and Deputy Chair of South Canterbury Football. My immediate concerns are maintaining rates affordability, continued infrastructure investment, and maintaining satisfactory debt levels. I am passionate about Timaru and our surrounding districts and I regard it a privilege to serve my community as a councillor.
