About Established in 1876, the Staveley Store is nestled under the Mid-Canterbury foothills in the heart of one of New Zealand’s friendly tight-knit rural communities, serving delicious home-baked goods, light lunches and award winning coffee. Story Unbelievably tasty hand-made sausage rolls tempt your tastebuds, with a range of flavours available including leek & mushroom, cheese & pineapple, and curry. The counter brims with treats - brioches, brownie, sticky lemon slice, giant choc chunk cookies, and other freshly baked cakes, slices and muffins. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available. The Farm Shop is the tasting room for neighbouring farm Mount Somers Station, featuring free range venison, lamb, eggs, honey, bacon, ham and a great range of other specialty locally produced products. There are also gifts and art made by talented locals and basic grocery items as you’d expect from any country general store, as well as DoC hut tickets for the Mount Somers walkway.
