About Little Movers Play Gym is for children aged 6mths - 4yrs old. Developmental milestones are reached through songs, games, music & fun physical activities. Story Little Movers Play Gym is for children aged 6mths - 4yrs old. We focus on teaching the foundation skills needed as they grow, for brain development & concentration in a FUN & SAFE environment. Little Movers Play Gym promotes the importance of Active Movement in children. There are many foundations that are built through Active Movement for learning, moving and communicating, and we encourage these throughout the different age groups. The different age groups will focus on different activities, and as they move onto the next age group the activities will change and be more appropriate for their abilities.For example the developmental milestones, such as crawling, rolling, hand-eye-coordination, balance plus many more are stimulated through action songs, games, music and fun physical activities. At Little Movers we encourage Parent/Caregiver participation to help your child see that it is safe, fun and exciting to learn new skills and meet new people. Not only will they experience different and fun ways to stimulate learning but also lifestyle skills that they will meet as they grow older. And as a Parent/Caregiver you will take away ideas to continue these skills at home. About Jo (Owner/Instructor): I started Little Movers Play Gym with the passion to work with young children show them how much fun active movement can be. In the end they don't even know they are learning because they are having so much fun!! In doing my Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science degree, I not only learnt about the body and how it works with exercising, but also coaching and working with young children. I then knew this was what I wanted to pursue, a combination of fitness and children. I travelled to London and worked as a PT and a nanny, and then moved on to become a manager of a team for a company called Crechendo. This was a play gym for children under 5. I did this for 18 months and throughly enjoyed it while learning so much about active movement with young children. Now home and after having 2 of my own children, I decided to pursue my passion and start up my own play gym.
