About Love Collecting? Travel the Golden Mile to uncover treasures off the beaten track... Story TAKE A DRIVE... 40 minutes north of Auckland, The Matakana Sunday Drive is a fabulous combination of eclectic independent stores & a quirky ice-cream & cookie stop (for your fuel-up along the way). Within minutes of each other, our home-based businesses specialise in both new & old collectables, retro & vintage objects, industrial, upcycled & recycled pieces. Plus antiques, art, designer furniture & homewares. Slightly off the beaten track, every store along the drive has their own unique flavour - so travel at your own pace & hopefully you'll find a tantalizing treasure along the way. HOURS: During winter the "drive" stores are open Saturday and Sunday. Once summer shows her face, these hours are extended. Best to contact individual stores to be sure.
