Story Hi I'm Cathy - and I LOVE photographing births! I have recently moved to Whatawhata with my husband and two daughters after coming home to NZ from overseas. We spent 5 years living in Indonesia, where I studied photography and developed a love for all things labour and birth related. Why births? Taking photos of your baby's birth is about remembering the journey of your baby entering the world. It’s the little details that are so easy to forget. Your baby’s first breath, first look, those first cuddles. It's also about celebrating the courage, strength and love of a mother, birthing her baby the best way she can. Birth photography allows you to embrace and remember all of those irreplaceable moments. *Please note that all photos published online are done so with full permission from families.
