About Moana Pool offers an Olympic sized main pool ,FINA and Olympic standard diving facilities, leisure and learners pools, hydroslides, a gymnasium and more! Story Moana Pool is an iconic place for Dunedin, where much of the community will have treasured memories and learnt to swim. As home to coaching legend Duncan Laing and the training ground of swimming heroes Dave Gerrard, Danyon Loader and Paralympian Jenny Newstead it is also a place where legends are made. The pool was officially opened on 14 November 1964 and in 2014 celebrated its 50th anniversary. We welcome your comments and discussion on our page.
