About Kaiaua Physiotherapy Experienced Physio with PGDip Western Acupuncture. Sports injuries, Work injuries, Pregnancy-related injuries, back pain Story Melissa de Jongh is an experienced Physiotherapist with 11 years post-graduate experience in pain and injuries. She has her post-graduate Diploma in Western Acupuncture/Dry Needling and works hard to upskill herself regularly. Melissa and her husband Simon owned a private practice in South/East Auckland but have moved rurally for a better lifestyle and look forward to providing a service in this beautiful community. Melissa has had extensive experience treating a range of work-related, sports-related and over-use pain and injuries. She has worked with sports teams over the years including rugby, netball, soccer and various other codes. Melissa also has a special interest in Pregnancy-related pain and injuries and treating morning sickness with acupuncture. She is also trained in rehabilitative Pilates and may look to incorporate some classes locally if there is enough interest.
