About Whananaki Surf Academy is a not for profit organisation that focuses on teaching water safety and ocean awareness in an encouraging and nurturing manner. Story Salt water therapy is the name of our game. Whananaki Surf Academy is focused on educating their students in all aspects of water safety, in a fun, nurturing environment. We are affiliated with the Whananaki School and endeavour to promote positive self esteem and feel good factor that surfing inevitably produces. The educational by product of surfing is a holistic awareness of ocean conditions and safety precautions. It is my belief that if you plant the seed of knowledge in the minds of children they will flourish and spread that knowledge to their whanau/family.
