About Just 5 minutes from Kerikeri, a visit to Ake Ake Vineyard is an excellent way to sample the best food and wine the Bay of Islands has to offer. Story At our boutique vineyard we specialise in growing and making award-winning wines from grape varietals such as Chambourcin, which are best suited to the Far North's climate and terroir. The Vineyard Restaurant is renowned for serving fresh seasonal local produce to produce dishes that are honest, wholesome and full of flavour. Lunch and dinner menus adapt to the flavours of the seasons and are constantly evolving whilst maintaining a common thread. Service is relaxed yet efficient in a welcoming, friendly environment. Set amongst the vines the restaurant is an ideal place for lunch, dinner and functions. In the summer we have a lovely outdoor deck area and in the winter, the fire is roaring, giving the restaurant a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Ake Ake is perfect for weddings and private functions.
