About Hospice Waikato is the very heart of specialist community palliative care in the Waikato. We provide the highest quality services for people living with an active, progressive and advanced disease or illness, and provide support to their families/whānau. Story Hospice care has a unique whole person approach- which means physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs are equally important. Hospice care is provided by a dedicated team that may include: a nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, palliative care nurse, palliative medicine doctor, social worker, counsellor, spiritual care coordinator, trained Hospice volunteer.
