Story 21ST CENTURY FACILITIES IN A 19TH CENTURY SETTING Location - An Event location like no other Nestled in the heart of a busy heritage attraction and museum is the West Coast’s largest conference and events centre. The West Coast Events Centre (previously known as Shantytown Events Centre) possess two large facilities that can host small-intimate meetings to large corporate events reaching up to 650 delegates. Large car parks, onsite catering, fully licensed bar and the ability to offer several options as breakout rooms allows Shantytown to host all types of events from weddings, day meetings, multiple-day conferences, gala dinners, tradeshows, balls and productions. Meeting spaces - Behind the Victorian Facades The Welshman’s Conference Centre is a modern conference space situated in the private and tranquil surroundings of native rainforest and can seat up to 250 people theatre style or can be split into four breakout rooms. The beautiful rustically themed Miners hall features a production stage and has the capacity to host up to 250 people banquet style which is ideal for award ceremonies and entertainment. Catering At the West Coast Events Centre, we are fully committed to ensuring that you receive the highest quality of food and dining experience. Our events team will work with you to accommodate your budget, tastes and style requirements. The West Coast Events Centre provides all on-site catering and Shantytown's King Dick’s Café is open seven days a week during business hours for additional refreshments. The Golden Nugget Saloon Bar adjoining Miners Hall is ideal for pre-dinner or post meeting drinks. Venue highlights - Breakout rooms Other onsite buildings such as Shantytown's faithfully restored interdenominational 1866 Church, authentic Masonic Lodge and Victorian styled classroom are available for small breakout meetings on request.
