Story Greymouth Operatic Society Inc Founded in 1944 the first show was held in 1945. The society is one of the oldest operatic societies in New Zealand providing the opportunity for local performers, musician and stage crews to learn all things theatre. The aim of the Society is to support, educate, and nurture local talent and with our President Stephanie Wheeler, Vice President Barbara Levick, Secretary Trivette Levick, Treasurer Amanda Toal and our committee Jonathan and Leanne Goodall, David Murly, Deb Hogan, Maxine Neilsen, Penny Cassidy and Jimmy Cory we wish to provide our local community with the most enjoyable entertainment and fun we possibly can."One of the oldest Incorporated Societies in the country, our aim is to increase and promote the performing arts in Greymouth, and the Grey District."
