Nice place to meet up or relax. It s situated in a garden so pretty relax. I didnt try much food. I had only a passion fruit&coconut cake. I m not familiar with the taste but coffee is very nice. Kid-friendliness: It s in a garden so has some spaces for kids to walk. Parking: Carpark outside, in front of the entrance.
Took some friends for a high tea at Eden Gardens and we had such a lovely afternoon. Beautiful high tea and walk in the gardens. Just allow plenty of time!
A research team reserved a small room for two days for writing. We ordered coffee, morning tea and afternoon tea and lunch from the menu. Each person ordered what they want and the total was combined into one Invoice and emailed at the end of each day. The room was fantastic with whiteboard and flip chart and the wifi was superb. We were able to be a separate space and could take breaks at the times that worked for our writing. Of course, the setting is gorgeous and inspiring. We feel so well cared for in terms of the facilities and food choices, which offers something for everyone. The food selections have expanded with a new chef. I look forward to returning on my own and with friends and colleagues.
The garden was lovely. We booked in for high tea. However the cafe ambience was underwhelming. The decor needs updating. The tea options were great. However the food was disappointing. Savory options were good but the sweet options were dry and need attention.
We hired the venue for a workshop, the setting is lovely, surrounded by amazing trees and the bird song. While the food was tasty and those attending really enjoyed it, it was expensive for what we were provided with in comparison to other catering we have had in the Auckland area.
High tea not quite what we'd hoped for. I was spoiling my sister and her husband-to-be to a treat meal in Auckland, but not being from Auckland Eden Gardens seemed an ideal spot. We appreciated the setting, the service and the look of the other meals rolling out around us but we were all very disappointed by the cost of the high tea relative to what was served. We could have had 2 amazing meals and drinks each for the same price. Upon previous experiences at high teas, we'd had option of sampling numerous teas which unfortunately was not the case here. They willingly accommodated our early arrival request and the lady at reception was incredibly helpful, I just so wish we got better value for money. Too much sweet and the savoury was terribly disappointing and certainly not enough. Vegetarian options: Included vegetarian pieces for me. Others had regular high tea.
We were 4 adults and 4 children @ a simple family brunch to celebrate 'Poppa's' 74th birthday on Saturday 25th March. Food chosen was delicious and our young male waiter absolutely superb. Hats off to a beautiful setting on a beautiful day for a beautiful occasion. Thank you all staff - and also for this precious jewel in our city. Kid-friendliness: Lovely to see the childrens' wonder in this space and their freedom to run and explore - absolutely brilliant. Parking: parking easy-peasy for all of us on this day .
Very dissapointed in the high tea for Mother’s Day .There were 6 of us and we all thought the same. The food was very dry and not at all nice. The service was terrible . The gardens and setting was lovely but won’t be back!Food: 2/5
Meals taste like cheap supermarket microwavables, coffee is decent though and staff very friendly. Outdoor seats by the trees on a sunny day makes for a great atmosphere. Avoid the stone ground seating area, there's a lot of bugs that likes to interrupt your meal.
Nice quiet cafe in the Eden's Gardens. Simple yet refreshing menu. Peaceful place to chill and relax. Recommend to check the garden events to enjoy both.
