A pleasant evening spent at Eat Cafe & Bar on a Friday. Having been warned off the local pub, Eat was one of the few places to dine in Fairlie missed opportunity there, pub owners. We started with the crispy calamari which was delicious. It came with crunchy salsa and sweet chilli sauce, which together with soft calamari with seedy crispy coating was a winner. Mr FA had lamb shank and I had the pork belly. Both were delicious and well presented. Small but good wine and cocktail list. Friendly service. A solid all round 4 from us for this wee gem in Fairlie.
Food was good here. Quantity was on the smaller side for the price though. Staff were very friendly and they had funny signs to look out for.
Had a very nice and tasty dinner. Friendly staff. Good prices. Good wine.
I came here for find some coffee. Thers is the best coffee in my trip. The barista is very professional. I ordered flatwhite with oat milk .the coffee very balance and oatmilk so milky and perfect temperature.nNot too busy at 15.00.nShould try !
We went here for dinner as we were staying about 300m away, our expectations for the food were low as this struck us as 'just a cafe' but blimey we were wrong. Between us we covered 4 different options and they were all absolutely fabulous and way above our expectations in presentation and tasted equally delicious. The salmon was done beautifully with a delicious pumpkin risotto, the lamb fell off the bone on the lamb shank, the chicken pasta was delicious and the chicken burger was crispy and hot.nService was reasonably quick considering the quality that came out and if we were staying longer we would happily have returned to try more of the options.nThey don't have much in the way of tap beers, but they do have a selection of bottles, wine and other alcoholic drinks too
