Twice now we have had spur of the moment stays here to save driving the gorge at night.nThe hosts are friendly and welcoming, nothing is a hassle, and the rooms are clean, a good size, and well priced.
Immaculately clean and very well equipped. Good value.
Rooms are big enough, old but with full facilities. Close to shops. Safe. Very nice owner.
The owners take pride in their place and it shows in every detail. The area is beautifully swept. There are short bread cookies in amongst the tea and coffee sachets and the linen is amazing! There's a reason why this is a fave place for many truckers
The Caretakers were only new 5 days in but they were the loveliest couple who made us feel very welcome. We were in Opotiki for a family function. The room we had was a one bedroom unit, which was very clean and tidy, we had a couple of things that required attention light bulb out and these were attended to straight away. Whilst on one of the main roads generally the night noise wasn't that noticeable. Bakery Cafe and takeaway just across the road.
