Eastern United Rugby & Sports Club is a rugby club in the Far North region on the east coast which has been in existence since 1954. We celebrated our 50th Jubilee in great style in 2004 with a weekend of community spirit and rugby.
We are a club who provides, administers, maintains and promotes sport in the Mangonui Community, We work closely with the local school and our vision is to empower and develop the young people in the area as we believe in the character building value that participation in sports brings to the youth of our region.
We have many a team member who has gone to greater honours - Mangonui Representative, Northland, NZ Sevens and All Black status.
Each year we continue to boost teams in all grades ranging from Unders 7's right through to our Senior Team and our fields are known as one of the best in Northland - sandy based and no match for winter weather. This proved valuable with the transfer of the 2008 NPC game between the Northland Taniwha and Manawatu Turbos from Kaitaia to our fields.
