Honestly amazing! I used to come here when I was a local, and I loved it then. I was worried I was hyping it up in my head after not being for so long, but the hype was real. The food is delicious and tastes how I remember. It is the best lemon chicken I have ever had. Nothing can beat it! Service was quick and attentive too. I'll definitely come back soon!
Wouldn’t recommend anything in the chicken selection!!! Got the sweat and sour chicken and it was dry and hard to chew, there’s was only a small amount of sauce slightly covering the top layer of chicken the rest was completely untouched! The only things that were half good were the two beef meals, Szechwan beef and beef ginger and spring onion. Recommend the Szechwan overall really not satisfied with getting an inedible meal.
Your team was amazing tonight, still did an awesome job even though were very busy! Lovely gesture offering waiting customers a free cold drink. Quality was still top notch considering having a huge quantity of orders to get through. Always recommend eastern egret. Love our meal every time :

my family and I have been going here for years. We love it. Someone usually has a birthday here at least once a year and we’re always so happy with the service and food. We love the orange beef, but also do an amazing pad Thai!
We ordered pad Thai without peanuts as our 3 y.o. daughter is allergic. We confirmed this on the phone and in person when we went to collect. Got home and there were nuts. Glad we checked as she could have ended up in hospital. Other dishes were terrible. The sweet & sour pork was mostly canned pineapple and was a fluorescent red in gloopy sauce. The spring rolls were filled with mush. The pad Thai was very salty. The meat in the duck with melon & tropical sauce was bland and the sauce was stodgy. Cost $85. We rang at 5pm to order and couldn't get through for a long time so wasn't a great start. Rang again to complain about the nuts and couldn't get through. Overall one of the worst meals I've had in a long time.
The Sunday Yum Cha was incredible and comes complete with doggie bags should you over order ; The pork buns where the family favourite! We will certainly be back. Thanks team

Had a fabulous yum cha lunch today with family. Delicious and fast service. Highly recommend. Have only ever done yum cha in Wellington in the past,which is very busy and noisey. Was lovely to experience yum cha in a quiet more intimate place. Will return.
Have long awaited a yum cha experience in Kapiti and Eastern Egret is providing this on Saturdays - make sure you book. Food and service were awesome - no more going to Wellington city for yum cha for us! Combination meat fried rice, spring rolls, won Tons, dumplings, pork buns, pork belly, chicken wings and custard buns were all sampled and were delicious! Thanks, Sharron and team
