I just wanted a change from the east Bays beaches so cruised over on a Monday morning and got a run in on the beach with a tide out. Nice big park at far end plenty of parking big trees. I imagine this is very popular in summer time, so it wouldn't be my vibe, but it's perfect for families who want easy access to a very swim friendly beach.
Says open 24 hrs.nFound it locked at 7pm
Great place at high tide for jet ski and kite surfing on a great windy day. Safe swimming area.
Nice place to park up and listen to some music and watch the ocean.
Can get busy, a tidal ramp. Launch and return 3 hrs each side of high tide otherwise you'll have to go around point to bucklands beach!
