East Tamaki Transfer Station… I don’t even know where to start. This place used to be chill. You’d roll in, yeet the carpet off the trailer, wipe your hands, boom gone.nnNow?nNow it’s like they hired a committee of the most cooked people on earth and told them:nn“Design the most inconvenient, soul-destroying system possible.”nnAnd they did it. They actually did it.nnYou get waved around like you’re doing laps at Pukekohe, just to end up at some secret little “carpet corner” where suddenly you’re expected to gently tuck your rubbish in like it’s going to bed.nnBro… it’s carpet. It’s rubbish. Why am I stacking it like a display at Bunnings? Who is this for? What does this achieve? Is someone coming in later to judge my form and technique?nnTakes three times longer to unload now.nThree.nTimes.nnBy the time I’m done dragging soaked, mouldy, dog-hair-infested carpet into their little neat pile area, I could’ve:nndriven to another tip across the citynnunloaded in 15 secondsnngrabbed a feednnAND still made it home before they’d finished telling me where to park.nnThis new system is actually insane.nIt’s like they’re speedrunning “How fast can we make tradies never come back?”nnI’m done.nI’ll happily drive 30 minutes to literally any other dump before I waste another chunk of my life doing arts and crafts with garbage.nnAbsolute circus of a setup.
Reliable and efficient dumping station.Easy access for trucks, and quick turnaround time. Perfect for commercial use.nThanks again to the lovely old lady at the weigh room,very friendly and helpful.
70 bux and a few cents for a Station Wagon full of rubbish. This is how much rubbish I took. First time I went.
Have found it so much cheaper coming here than other transfer stations around Auckland. The ladies at the gate are always really friendly and helpful too.
CHECK THAT THEY DON'T OVER CHARGE YOU!! This month I did 2 dumpruns of exactly the same size not explaining but it is 16 items and could only fit 8 at a time in the back of our van.nnPlease note that in pictures above my trailer has no towbar. Yet I was charged for a trailer load at $109.32 then later this month we went again with the other half and with a different staff member in the kiosk got charged the fair ammount of $70.87nnI wonder how many people get over charged at this place!!??
