Both our kids have attended here since age 5. The teachers are much more invested in their students then I would have imagined. As parents we tried our best to get our kids reading before they went to school, and failed. Within a couple of months of starting here they were both reading. As each teacher has a class of around 30 kids that is an outstanding achievement alone. I think more importantly even than that achievement though, the teachers at East Taieri have managed to foster a love of learning amongst the children. Our two kids still both get up on Monday morning and are delighted to find that it's a school day. They come home speaking of values we were never taught in our day, like kindness and caring. There is a good weekly balance of physical activity and a broad curriculum. I have also been really impressed by the amount of detail in our children's annual reports. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to balance the bureaucratic requirements of being a teacher in the modern era but to still pay so much attention to each individual child. I also think anyone critical of the job the teachers do here needs to walk a mile.

Great school. All 3 of my children have been here and I have been extremely happy with it.
Many concerns raised by parents are deliberately concealed to avoid exposure of mismanagement .nNew leadership urgently required !
