Janine and Gordon are passionate owners of their little eco sanctuary and very able to pleasantly and infectiously educate any visitors, from small children to adults. They are showing excellent stewardship of nature, from soil -plants-insects and birds. Their workshops are definitely a big attraction and fun to be part of. Should be on your to do list for any holiday goers to the Catlins.
Great experience great accommodation very interesting and fun.
An awesome place, run by awesome, passionate people. We were given a great tour around the garden and food forest, with lots of new insights on creating a balanced garden with diverse plants and insects. Definitely a must-do for keen gardeners and conservationists!
What a wonderful surprise! We took a wide range of ages of kids from 2 years old to 42 and all had a great time. An educational treasure hunt. I am going to suggest to our local primary school that we should visit as it would be brilliant as a school trip. Bugs, butterflies, spiders, birds, donkeys and even a flea circus it has it all! Thank you to the friendly hosts for a great afternoon
Excellent place. Run by a friendly couple. Inspector insector is very knowledgeable. It was just us there that day and we still got the full tour and experience, plus some more detailed advice on garden insects and plants. The gardens are interesting for adults too.
Awesome afternoon had by all ages at earthlore. Fantastic chance for the kids to get up close and personal with some bugs. Loved the flea circus, donkeys, fruit forest and dress ups. Must do if you're near owaka
Such an amazing time! We met "Inspector Insector" and had a blast learning about our native and endemic critters. A true hidden gem! Thank you!
