Earl is an absolute gem of a man, extremely friendly, helpful and a great chat. Recommend for anyone, especially tourists as he knows the area better than anyone. Areas are great for tents or vans and has all the facilities you need at half the price of the other places around. Give it a go

Great location and views. Earl was friendly and had good banter. Port-o-loos were desperately needing servicing. Apart from that, had a great stay.
We didn't stay as the campground was quite exposed on the side of a hill and far from the beach. Slightly price at $20 pp pn. Still Earl was super friendly and inviting. Local NZer making a carbon neutral living off the land. Would recommend
