Great service from the office team, very helpful with getting through the bookwork, but Brian was abusive during the practical driving, threatened to fail me for something that isn’t part of the examination and quite violently swatted my hand away from the gearstick at one point.
I had a terrible experience with Brian Frew, owner & operator of Drive Tech. Never before have i been shouted and screamed at from a driving instructor. I sat my class 2 drivers license with John Parsons two year's prior and found him to be beyond exemplary as a driving instructor, both with the theory and the practical. I can't say the same for Brian when it came to the driving assessment. I left feeling deflated, humiliated and angry. I'm affraid i cannot in good faith recommend this Driving School to others with behavior such as this.
Got a confirmation email in May that I’m booked in for defensive driving course in September just rang them today to check about the starting date and got told that it started last week so I missed. If I want to do it I can come to Invercargill which is almost 3h drive to get there. Wouldn’t recommend them.
Had a great experience, learnt alot from Gemma, she's an excellent instructor. Helped me get my restricted licence : would highly recommend.
If you can't learn something from these guys I would have to believe that you are unteachable, no B.S. instructors that have a real world understanding of what's required, that and a generous home baked smoko plus effective and pleasant staff makes this extremely good value for money
Can't recommend the team at DriveTeach enough. Such a helpful and supportive team to help me gain my restricted license.
I passed theory test for Class 5. You can learn road code in easy way here compare to read the tick road code book. They also have delicious cheese roll!!!
The forklift course was great, very good instructors that explain in detail all you need to know!
