Drifter Coffee NZ is a sisterhood truck with the original business - Drifter Coffee, that is based in Detroit. For the past year or so I worked on the Treat Dreams ice cream truck in Detroit, slinging homemade ice cream and making friends with the wider food truck community. I became friends with Alleah Webb, who owns Drifter Coffee and started thinking of ideas to start my own business. She inspired me to start thinking about coffee and following the weeks of my arrival back to New Zealand, I was speaking with Alleah to figure out what i needed to get going.
I arrived back in New Zealand with a clear vision and a passion to create something unique for the Hibiscus Coast.
Operating out of a 1950s Starliner Caravan, Drifter Coffee NZ is offering up some premium coffee drinks made with Raglan Roast beans. Iced tea is also on the menu as well as homemade Kombucha, which is flavored with seasonal fruit juices. On top of all this, we want to create a chill environment where people can have a great yarn, enjoy the world around them and drink good coffee.
