Refund has been provided - thank you. Badly Burnt Naan. I bought 13 naans for takeaway last night for a function and most of them were badly burnt. My guests had no choice but to eat it as we did not have any other food. It was quite embarrassing - please kindly provide a refund or credit note.
I ordered from here, thinking about the amazing experiences I have had at the Dominion Road branch. But Botany was a let down, the veg Manchurian was badly burnt and the noodles were just tasteless.
What a nice place. On the New Years day 1/1/2023, we flew into Auckland, NZ, we were hungry and looking for a place to eat. We were recommended another Panjabi food place in Botany. Went there, the owner said since we did not have a reservation; three of us will have to sit on a table for two mind you the restaurant was 3/4 empty. I asked my son to look for another Indian restaurant nearby and we were lucky enough to find Dosa Plaza. We called, the owner said they will be glad t o accommodate three of us on a short notice. When we arrived, we were promptly seated and the menu provided. Though the restaurant was fairly busy, Food was prepared in 15 minutes. Both the Food and Service were great. When I went to pay the bill, the owner turned out to be a very nice person and just amazing. We chatted for quite some time. What a guy, what a place, that made us happy and gave a boost to the New Year.... Way to go... Thank you for everything. Would recommend it easily...
Awesome food excellent customer service specially for the girl with long hair and wearing mask , When ask her name she kindly reply’s just put a review on the company name. She is so sweet and kind helping with our food order as well. Highly recommended
Food was not up to the standard , dominion road has better food quality and service , Mysore Dosa had no mysore chutney applied to it , Masala Dosa stuffing was oily and not enough stuffing . Person who was taking payment didnt care when addressed this feedback. Parking: Parking available just infront of restaurant and around .
Went there yesterday after almost a year. Service was pathetic. Guy at the counter seemed disinterested in serving the customers. We had to ask for water and cutlery. Usually they leave a water bottle at the table. Almost an hour to bring the food. Food was neither tasty, Idli was not fresh. *****And please use gloves when putting straw in the drink***** Hygiene was very poor I hope this review is taken seriously to improve the service.
We were served rotten potatoes in masala dosa, that was smelling bad even from 2 m away, found hair in sambhar, when asked manager, her attitude was really bad, very very rude. Worst food experience, worst manager and worst serve. I won't recommend this restaurant as even after complaining about spoiled potatoes, they served same stuff to other people, they even served that to kids. Such a shame
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this meat free restaurant with options to veganise dishes. The cauliflower was exceptional and have recommended several people to fine here. Vegetarian options: All food Vegetarian with Vegan options
Good to see they had so much choice of other menus but since it's a "Dosa" eatery, they need to keep with the dosa theme. I am sure South India have variety of real authentic dosas. Dosas on the menu weren't very Indian. Service was good. Good was good too. Loved seeing rose falooda on the menu though this particular flavour wasnt ideal had bought it from a packet of the same taste which I dont ĺike. We order the below in pictures but wasnt impressed with the manchurian noodles noodles too soft and texture less. Next time will go for the Haka noodles instead. Manchurian fired rice was yummy along with all others that we ordered. Will be back. Would like to try the different dosas and see what they are like.
We were regulars to Dosa plaza botany. We went on the 15th of January and ordered mini idlis & masala dosa. The idlis were served in chipped platesthat’s how they are maintaining their franchise and we’re not fluffy or fresh The Potato stuffing in masala dosa smelled off and tasted stale. We complained and returned the dosa but at the counter they said “ you will have to pay for it” we argued that we sent it back and didn’t order anything else instead and the reply from the rude manager was “ it’s a franchise and you will have to pay”. He didn’t even apologise and was rude and was forcing us to pay for something we didn’t eat. Will not recommend anyone to go here. Very bad customer service. Instead go Maya’s bistro on chapel rd for good South Indian food. Not far from dosa plaza.
