Story

Our membership is dedicated to utilising & preserving the temperament and proud working heritage of European working breeds such as German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Dobermanns and Belgian Shepherds through the world wide sport of Schutzhund (also known as Dogsport)

Dogsport is an ideal means by which to demonstrate your dog's trainability, intelligence & utility. It offers breeders a rigorous means to measures any potential breeding prospect’s genetic quality because this sport reveals a great deal about a working dog's mental stability, endurance, structural efficiencies, ability to scent, willingness to work and courage.

Dogsport trials involve preparing the dog and handler for the “triathlon” of Tracking, Obedience and Protection exercises. This sport offers an opportunity for dog owners to train their dog & compete against each other for recognition of both the handler's ability as a trainer & the dog's ability to perform as required. It is a sport enjoyed by persons of varied professions, who join together in a camaraderie born of their common interest in training and competing with their dogs.
