Story

In August of 2015, the paths of two wayward travelers crossed. At the only Irish bar in the French village of Chamonix, a partnership was born and, since that fated moment, Jon Harvey and Holly Manigan have been on a mission to do “awesome shit” together. The more the duo continued to discover the world together, the more they wanted to share their expeditions with others. With a firm belief that life is simply better when sitting atop a mountain or getting tossed around in the surf, they launched Do It Outside Expeditions. In addition to guiding others into the spaces beyond the beaten path, they also promote environmental awareness. One of the greatest ironies is that, by introducing people to the backcountry, the backcountry becomes the beaten path. Jon and Holly invite you to not only get out there, but also to leave no trace in your wake. Don’t just see the beauty of the world; also protect it for generations to come. They look forward to meeting you!

We have two locations on PEI in North Rustico next to the National Park and Brudenell River Provincial Park. Our complement of experienced, safety conscious guides are certified through Paddle Canada, have first aid training and bring many years’ experience guiding in Prince Edward Island and other places in Canada and the world."
