Story

Dive Zone is located in the heart of Tauranga at 213 Cameron Road, opposite the BOP Polytechnic. We offer a variety of in-water training programmes for all ages, including group bookings for Deep Water Survival for those as young as 5 years old, through to tertiary level scuba certifications with the Diploma in Professional Scuba Instruction.
Not only do we offer a 5 Star PADI training facility, an onsite heated pool, gear hire and servicing, but we also test dive tanks, and LPG cylinders.
Our regular charter trips provide the opportunity for you to explore many of the stunning dive sites around the Bay of Plenty, whether your passion is hunting, photography, spear-fishing or sight seeing.
We also provide dive live-aboard trips throughout the year to locations further afield such as White Island, Alderman Islands, Great Mercury Islands and the Poor Knights. Check out our upcoming trip schedule at scubadivingtauranga.co.nz for more info.

If you're on the fence about trying diving, just go for it! The team at Dive Zone are awesome - all excellent instructors, friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing their expertise. There are some amazing diving sites in the Tauranga area, and you will make memories for life
The team at Dive Zone Tauranga have been absolutely amazing in my longer-than-expected journey to get my PADI Open Water Diver certification. I categorically did NOT take to diving like a fish to water, and I received nothing but patience and understanding from the team. The team took me from panic attacks and irrational fear to feeling so comfortable underwater that I wonder why I didn't do this years ago! Full marks to Tony, Liz and Kane for their understanding, patience and humour in helping me through this. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, and I couldn't have wished for a better support crew. I can't recommend Dive Zone Tauranga strongly enough. Thanks guys!
Just completed our Padi open water course. These guys are great. Highly recommend. James our instructor was super patient with our kids and was great at helping my wife overcome her fears and we all passed!
Dive Zone Tauranga is an awesome place to study. The staff are very knowledgeable about what they are teaching and dive sites in the area. Customer service is really good and they will go the extra mile to help with what ever you are after or to answer your questions. Awesome place and staff. Nicki and the team at Dive Zone Tauranga are just amazing, they are attentive with their students making sure everyone receives the proper training Padi standards and you feel like you are in professional hands. I am very happy with their services and can only recommend them to anyone looking to take on the amazing sport of scuba diving !
Worst dive shop I've experienced, went in on Saturday to hire gear as I was visiting Tauranga, one of the two tanks hired had a bad o ring that obviously never got checked when we left the shop, when we came back on Sunday, we got told it was all our fault and we should be carrying spare o rings even though I was clearly hiring all the gear so didn't have my normal kit with me, no sympathy from the older bald guy that served us, most miserable guy to deal with. If you hire out bad gear, you might want to let the customers know prior to leaving the store that they might need spare o rings.
Through dive zone i gained my open water, advanced open water and then went from dive master to instructor with them over summer. Throughout my time with dive zone i gained nothing but experience and had the chance to learn from the best, every dive done was a learning curve, and the staff we're always behind you 110% to help with anything! would recommend dive zone Tauranga for anyone wanting to learn to dive, no matter what level! Best dives, Best trips and Best staff!
Recently I completed the Padi Open Water course with Dive Zone Tauranga. I found all the instructors and staff to be very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The facilities were great and everyone at Dive Zone worked hard to make the entire course an enjoyable experience. Thank you!
The team from divezone Tauranga were the best of help, great instructors really enjoyed my experience with them throughout my dive course, I encourage anybody wanting to and has thought about learning to dive before to do so it's worth the experience and the training.
We both visited New Zealand to see family over the holidays from the UK and prior to our holiday we contacted Dive Zone and must say that the speed of and detail of the response from Nicki was superb ! We had no hesitation in choosing Dive Zone to do our PADI Rescue diver course. On first entering the shop/school we were immediately made to feel welcome. And the extremely professional staff were thorough in their teaching and advise. We were taught by both Dania and Vanessa who were simply the best ! we both feel that following taking and passing this course that we have learnt more skills than the actual course covered and most importantly they gave us more confidence as divers. We would not hesitate to use Dive Zone Tauranga again when next we are in NZ and very much look forward to meeting the staff again who made us feel like part of the family.
