An excellent all round service. Personnel were punctual, polite, and couldn't do enough to get things right. it was a pleasure to have them working on our house - not something you'd usually say about a builder!
My wife and I have used Distinction to do our kitchen and bedroom plus other smaller jobs and have always found them to be very helpful. When they start a job, they finish it. Their quality of work is very good and nothing is to much trouble.
I have used Distinctions' services for many years now and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Don and the team are quick to respond, fair with their quotes and always carry out the work promptly, professionally and politely. Whether you have a larger project, or a series of smaller ones, they treat their customers with the same courtesy and they are a pleasure to deal with.
I used Distinction to rebuild my kitchen / diner. They did an excellent job that was completed when they said it would be. Very happy to use them again and have recommended to friends.
Since Distinction was recommended to me several years ago I have never considered using any other builder. They have done major projects for me on 2 properties including removing walls, replacing kitchens, bathrooms and a water tank. They are not the cheapest but they are certainly the most reliable – they don’t keep adding further costs once the job is started and they stick to agreed dates. If problems arise which they inevitably do they come up with solutions, some very innovative, discuss them with you and keep you informed. Over the years I have met many of the guys. I have found them all very professional, tidy, polite and pleasant to have around more than you can say for a lot of builders!, although I do arrange with them to do the majority of any demolition work when I am away as I trust them implicitly. Distinction have done a lot of jobs for us over the years - both large roofing, new bathrooms etc and small. Their work is always of a very high standard, and the team are always friendly, polite and tidy. I have recommended them to many friends and colleagues over the years.
As a chartered structural engineer working locally I come across many good builders. Distinction are one of the best around and for that reason I always use them for work on my own property. The quality of their work is second to none and their whole ethos is focussed on delivering a quality end product. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
We have used Distinction for a number of projects over the last 7 years including three bathrooms and remodelling our downstairs cloakroom. Don and Gareth are both very responsive, their quotes are clear, the workmanship is excellent and the aftercare is thorough. I have recommended Distinction to a number of friends.
I have recommended, and worked with Distinction for almost 6 years on extensions and loft conversion projects in Bristol and the South West. As a designer, I have always found Distinction to have plenty of very useful construction advice and are always available to give it. Distinction are a top contractor and I'm proud to work with them.
Distinction put in a kitchen / diner extension on my 1950's build home about 2 years ago now. From start to finish they were excellent. The only building firm that gave an itemised quotation including all parts of the build. The men were always polite, honest, and considerate to our family life and tried to minimise disruption as best they could. The build was completed to an excellent standard they even helped me source and install my kitchen and I've had so many compliments about the standard or the finish. Any slight issues that arose once the work was complete, was dealt with promptly and effectively. I would thoroughly recommend distinction and have already done so to many friends locally!
