The wife and I have always been wanting to check this place out so we took the leap.. love the vibe the decor was on point . Tried my first root beer and it surprised me how good it was .nnThe better half and I both got the same Philly Cheese steak sandwich one with the curly fries and the other with skinny fries .nnOver all the portions size was the right amount for the price . We both liked the curly fries had good crunch and flavor . And the skinny fries was on point . The Sandwich it’s self was nice but both thought it was missing some flavor but with in saying that it still went down a treat. We also got a side of Buttermilk fried chicken to share ..nand heck if you go there I’d highly recommend you trying was cooked perfectly and the flavors was full absolutely amazing.nnThe staff was very friendly and greet you at the door . It be good on some rollerblades haha..nnWe will be back again highly recommend :
Great service and delicious foodnRibs were tender and had a nice bbq sauce.nButtermilk chicken was as expected and nice.nClub sandwich was a decent size and was really nice.nOnly minor let done were the cheesy fries, I wish they had more cheese sauce and less melted cheese on top as it just all stack together and was a bit greasy.nPizookie and the brownie dessert were both soooongoodnAll in all a bloody great night out
Great vibes from this place nGood value for money,nIts not very expensive and quantity is really good.nTried their eggs benny smoked salmon chicken. Worth trying.nThe fried chicken wings were okay.nOverall 4/5.nDefinitely going back
Diner 66 offers an authentic 1960s atmosphere with top-notch American cuisine. We enjoyed a starter stack with additional shoestring fries—heaps for two, and very delicious. The vintage decor and friendly service make every visit a fun trip to the past.
Best Diner i’ve been to in NZ, absolutely nailed the vibe and the menus were simple and effective.nnThe Oreo milkshake was perfect, the portion of the donut waffles were generous, more ice cream would have been nice 1 scoop for 3 waffles left a few dry. Don’t get your hopes up on the “Pizookie” being Pizza sized, it’s just a regular cookie skillet, but done to perfection and would highly recommend for a sweet treat.nnWait wasn’t too long on a busy night and the staff were friendly too. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends.
