Taste: 5/5 Portions: medium Price: $$-$$$ The pork was underseasoned and lacking a lot of flavour, but everything else was delicious.
Nice place for a weekday lunch, accessible location in Central Business District. The burger and fries were tasted good but found it serving not adequate for its price.Food: 4/5
We have been here before an it was lovely couldn’t fault it, but our visit last night for a special family event was extremely disappointing, we waited almost an hour for our food not ideal with a child, the pasta dish was late and only barely warm, I wanted to send it back but the family member said I’m hungry I’ll just eat it. The plates were eventually cleared after some time, but not even offered dessert. Disappointing when we seldom go out to eat in this economy and then get less then satisfactory service.
Whether it’s a takeaway coffee or to dine in, Dillingers is the place to go. Excellent service, friendly professional staff, and the food is just fabulous. Besides the fact that staff and servers are very attentive, how agile they are to ensure that you have a 5 star experience is incredible. And the minimum wage they pay their staff is the living wage!! So a from me! I take my business meetings there and personal catch ups and I’m never disappointed! Highly recommend. Kid-friendliness: My 9 year old also loves this place and also gives it a 5 rating
Came here because of reviews from a few years back showing fried chicken and waffles. The fried chicken is no longer served with waffles—it’s on sourdough. We opted for the two options pictures. Both were solid and hearty. Can highly recommend adding hash browns to any dish with eggs, and dipping the crispy hash browns in the runny yoke.
My third time at Dillingers, this time for dinner. I ordered the mandarin salad with grilled chicken, which came to $31. I know prices have increased but I was surprised that the mandarins seemed to come from a can. The $6 extra I paid for the grilled chicken got me a small piece no bigger than the palm of my 'small hand and maybe half a centimetre thick. It all tasted fine but seemed over-priced for what I actually received. My friend had a burger, which was good as always. I've had a chicken burger here before and it was excellent, so I'll stick to those next time.
Food was great! Staff I interacted with didn't know what time happy hour was, also didn't seem to like that I was using the 'Social Star' app. Apart from that it was a delightful experience and I will be backFood: 5/5
This is one of my must go places for breakfast when I am in Wellington City, New Zealand. I am very pleased with the service, food and coffee. The servers are so attentive and prompt in getting things done. The food is fabulous and the coffee just makes my day better. In my recent visit, I had the Cheese Steak Benedict on sourdough. The steak and eggs were cooked perfectly to my taste. I enjoyed it a lot. If you are keen to savour their food, I suggest you go before 8 am as the crowd will be there around 8 am. Unless you don’t mind waiting longer to get your food.
Had a couple of drinks here and snacks. Food was quick and fine. Ended up waiting at the bar a times due to there only being one staff member behind the bar. Probably just bad timing on my side and people wanting cocktails/coffee Staff who were around were friendly. The material in the booths looks grubby and could use a clean. I would go back but mostly due to the location.
Two of us came in at lunch time and got the slow cooked brisket with mash potatoes. The taste was great but the texture was incredibly tough and rubbery for slow cooked brisket. Pretty disappointing when the main part of the meal is overshadowed by the mash potatoes.Food: 3/5
