This was a perfect place for my family and I. Not too fancy is how we like it, nature all around! Lots of fruit trees around, grape vines, natural healing plants if you have a good explore. It was very handy having the washing machine and dryer, also handy that reception had coins for you to swap if you had notes for the shower or laundry. The kitchen was nice and simple! Easy to clean your own mess. Cleaners were there alot : keeping the facilities clean which was awesome. The pool was heatednice. The stream/river was beautiful, and easy to keep an eye on the children. Overall: we will be back :
The hosts are very helpful and caring. Lots of play areas for children of all ages. Lovely pool. Well maintained grounds with beautiful trees. Clean and tidy facilities with hot showers. Can't wait to go back
We went there for the labour weekend. Surrounded by beautiful nature, well-maintained facilities and the staff was nice. Loved everything but there was a guy who was building a deck and the noise he was making was driving us nuts and did not let us take a quiet rest during the day time. I don't understand why you decided to do it during the long weekend instead of doing it on the week days when you have a less customers.
Facilities VERY OLD and need of upgrade. Kitchen area/eating area very small. Bathrooms very dated, shower curtains held up on flimsy string. And having to pay for hot showers is ridiculous ontop of your stay. Pool is nice and is kept warm by the cover.
The facilities could need a renovation and our unpowered camp site was a bit small but there were also bigger ones around us. Except these things you got everything you need, really friendly owners and an awesome creek to swim in next to the holiday park. Would definitely recommend to stay here!
Stayed for along weekend and had great experience despite the weather being severe and not great for outdoor activities with preschoolers. The couple that manage the place were accommodating and helpful. Well maintained and good family campground
Lovely stay. Our cabin and communal facilities were nice and clean. Nice welcoming hosts. Lovely bush and river setting. Good value.
Cozy, green, friendly, peaceful, no unnecessary luxury but luxury for the soul, very individual, in the middle of the beautiful nature of the Coromandel, a river below the campsite. Family John the new owners are very cosmopolitan, also operate Jolly Bikes in Thames, for mobility by e-bike is also provided. Have a good time.
Went here on my birthday I was not very happy with this holiday park. When my wife booked me in she rang them and asked if there was enough room for me to park my truck and boat because of my disability they said yes. There was no parking for me I talked to the owner he showed me were I could park which was between 2 cabins impossible to park there he was not helpful at all. After the night on the water we got back at 10pm to our cabin no hot water me and my children were soaked after having to take our boat off in the rain again talked to the owner and he said it was my fault I should of checked the gas myself when I arrived. Left a day early very upset very rude onwers will never stay here again
The grounds and scenery are amazing and so was the service. It’s quite old but that doesn’t take away from the experience. We stayed in one of the private cabins and they were very clean and the beds incredibly comfortable. Wifi was good as the service is a little lacking. Good entertainment for the kids bad sadly the pool was cold as it’s solar heated. Still a top notch place for the price. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you so much to the owners and staff. Oh, and they even let us store our stuff until check in as we got there at 10.
