Service was really slow - we waited over an hour for our burgers to come out on a moderately busy lunchtime. If the kitchen is stacked, please let your customers know before ordering so they can get something from the cabinet instead looked like some good stuff there.nnFood was good - but unfortunately had to wolf it down to make it back in time for the ferry.
Average score in last six months is 4.5, a great score. Suggest owner to rename the place and start again, in order to up the stars. 3.7 average is a lot less than this place deservesnnLove how this place is open till 9:30! The pot plants outside really make the place special. There is one umbrella out front, could do with some more and hanging baskets would be a fine addition, too. The staff are lovely and friendly and they make good coffee. Not sure about the food, didn't try any. A very pleasant experience in this country cafe.
Lovely spot to have a drink or a bite to eat. They do a bit of everything so there is something for everyone to enjoy here. We ordered pizzas which were delicious! Have been many times here, as we have family in the area, and the service at times can be patchy but it is otherwise a very lovely eatery. The views from the back deck are gorgeous and it is a lovely spot to sit when the weather is. Ice.
Great service. I asked to have a smaller portion of loaded wedges because the normal size would be to much. They were happy to do that at half the price even. I had a nice cold beer with it. Bit pricey at $12 though but I enjoyed it. The young waiter came out to me and apologize for the wait for my food. I wasn't to concerned about that but that was nice of him. Overall I enjoyed it there. Thank you
The many negative reviews surprised me. This place is really great !! I have had 2 meals so far and really enjoyed my pint and sqid out in bar section. Sure it’s not artisan food level quality you may be use to in lyttleton — yet it’s tasty and well prepared. Focus seems to be a relaxing sifty bar / cafe rather than an artisan foodie place. I found the hosts most accomodating and helpful. Welcoming, absolutely ! Yes it does have potential to be a wow .. which I think most people trying to say. After all diamond harbour I have discovered is an exquisite gem. The front cafe is too dark for me. Only suggestion.
