We support community events and services in the Devonport Peninsula area in partnership with Auckland Council and Devonport-Takapuna Local Board.

Story

Devonport Peninsula Trust is a not-for-profit organisation, working in partnership with Auckland Council and Devonport-Takapuna Local Board to bring community development services to the Devonport peninsula area.

We are best known for our programme of summer events running from late October through to the end of March; events such as our preschool play mornings in parks, the Bayswater Halloween Trail, Scotty Brewer Skate Day, Devonstock Music Festival, Devonport Christmas Festival and many others. We also coordinate community network meetings including the Devonport Environmental Network, Devonport Youth Forums and Welcome meetings for newcomers to Devonport and the Bayswater & Belmont areas.

We share news and information through our monthly e-newsletter and our columns in The Devonport Flagstaff and Channel Magazine, support the community initiatives of others through practical advice and support including lending out equipment like marquees, our van and toys. We also coordinate the bookings for the billboard sites on Lake Rd opposite Devonport Fire Station.
