Being into Ancestry I visited and found pieces of history that directly related to ancestors who lived locally. As I build up more information I wonder if another visit will uncover more surprises. Definitely worth a wander through. Carl Prime married "Toots" Alison, Alison family started the Devonport Steam Ferry Company.
Well worth a visit if you want to know about the history of Devonport and the harbour etc. For a charitable run museum they have a lot to offer. Only problem I found was the building was quite cool inside. If you get the time please visit and support this vital time capsule.
Great little museum. Run by volunteers who deserve your visit / donation
Small but still covers the rich history of Devon port and New Zealand. It's free of cost but you can donate something if you want.
worthy interesting place to go.volunteer paul lead me to look around and introduce the history of devonport.
Really informative museum of local history. I've lived in the area for 6 years and this was my first visit. Definietly recommend a visit to locals and tourists.
Wonderfully history
Very hidden! Google the location first : There's a cute little path behind the museum that goes to the top of Little Mt cambria too.
Awesome place. Some much to see. Beautifully displayed.
A lovely series of collection of Auckland. And the guide grandpa is so friendly. It was a nice experience.
