I recently had a great experience with Detail King. The team there was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making the whole process from booking to pick up a breeze. Nothing seemed to be a problem, even with the challenges posed by my two heavily shedding dogs leaving their mark throughout the car. When I got my car back, it looked like new again, with no trace of hair left behind, and it shined more than the day I brought it. I am really, really happy with the result and would definitely use them again. Thanks team!
If you want stress , multiple trips to get the job done right , don't go there !! Absolutely the worst service, I'm amazed they are even in business.. Save your time , your money , and your sanity. Simply put avoid this place like the plague!
I got my car detailed at Detail King recently and was very happy with the job that was done and I have had a lot of comments on how good it looks.
Sean did an outstanding job getting tar off my car. I had scratched it by mistake trying to get it off. He managed to dislodge every piece carefully and cut and polished where he needed. Premium result. Highly recommend!
Took my car to their Dunedin office for advice on which of their package would likely suit. The tall lanky guy I spoke to was incredibly unprofessional, spoke condecendingly to me and very arrogant. He is apparently one of their groomers and he did a great job at miscontruing my enquiries. Told me point bank that he 'doesn't want to talk me' and walked away. Politeness is a key component of good customer service and this was very missing in my engagement with them. I would never recommend anyone spend a cent of their hard earned money in an environment where you are treated with hostility from the get go. Terrible human and customer relations. I will give them a zero star if I could.

I rewriting my review of the service I received from Detail King, I found them to be totally out of there depth in cleaning and detailing my car!. For the price they charge I would definitely never use them again, I feel like they ripped me off something terrible,like they didn’t wipe the dry polish off or clean the dashboard to any type of standard you’d expect for the price, I found that they were just totally inept in there work and attitude hence I would not advise anyone else to use their services,I had to redo it myself after I got home so use them at your own risk but I’d advise against it. Plus I’d be concerned about them joy riding in your vehicle. So yeah I’d have to say they give other car detailers a bad name, Just don’t use them would be my advice,they are useless I’d be surprised if they even had a car cleaning outfit before they hung up their sign,it’s just not right!

We took our car in for detailing and it was returned with an oily substance coating the console and with oily stains throughout the upholstery. Returned the car to have it fixed, only to have the problem made worse with a horrible smell throughout the car and additional staining. Ultimately we had to contact our insurance company and have the car interior professionally cleaned. Tried to communicate throughout with Detail King who denied any responsibility, did not refund cost of original cleaning - or offer to cover the professional upholstery cleaning. Would not recommend taking any vehicle here unless you are prepared to deal with damage and the related costs.
