Went to Dennys and got a Kai. One word. DELICIOUS. The garlic bread was tasty and was crispy, soft and moorish. Deliciously garlicky. The burger was amazing the portions of the salads was amazing along with the tasty meatpatties. Also the mushrooms shone thru in the burger. The bun was soft as well. The hot chips were meh. No salt on them bur at least they got salt at the tables. The customer service was abit out of it but it improved when I went to pay. Lol. But definetly will be back.
Absolutely perfectly cooked medium rare steak. Leonardo our waiter was absolutely amazing and friendly. Short staffed tonight but the staff deserve a shout out for their fantastic ability to deliver an amazing service. And work together without drama when things get tough.Food: 5/5
I decided to treat my mum and nephew for breakfast at Denny’s Porirua. Wasn’t busy hardly diners around we were shown to our table.. Nephew ordered pancakes bacon was burnt, mum’s ordered big breakfast with toasts with out butter but was laden with butter…my fish n chips arrived with green salad look old n unwashed straight from packet to plate..I mentioned it to server and she said okay I will passed it on to cook.. I ordered filter coffee and I had to go and asked for it because the server had forgotten about it was getting other tables orders ‍The servers were so unfriendly and didn’t look like they wanted to be at work they kept getting our orders wrong or forgotten what we supposed to have I absolutely regretted dining n spending that much money at Denny’s Porirua..never come back
Really needs to be freshened up, very dated looks. All staff look drained and uniforms look extremely used. Staff weren't very friendly almost like we were a hassle being there. Food is gross and everything pretty much deep fried but prices are high. Glass was found in a soup at the table next to us and the manager tried to ignore the situation.
Food was not cooked to what we asked for, everything came out cold, buffalo wings some were still abit raw, steak came out rare even though we asked for medium. Staff looked really unhappy to be working, none of them smiled, felt really uncomfortable by the staff. Ordered the Hot fudge cake & it came out cold, the ice cream tasted disgusting First time here to Denny’s porirua and I will never come back here again. Felt super sick leaving here Parking: Right outside the restaurant, probably the only thing good about this place.
We were the only people in the restaurant 8am. Half the lights were off. Could be power saving? No music in the restaurant so we could clearly hear the kitchen radio but they had good music on. Friendly prompt service, good food. Over all a good experience.Food: 3/5
Dennys is the same aesthetically everywhere. However all the food at this one is cold. Eggs, chicken, pasta-even stuff served in a hot skillet was very cold. Would not order any hot dishes here. Maybe a nice salad with the 1 kind of dressingfrench . Very spendy-fish and chips cost more thN the Crab Shack..Food: 2/5
The food was cold. Hollandaise sauce must have come straight out of a jar. There was so much of it, and it tasted awful. Staff looked miserable, and the place just felt drab and gloomy. Shame as we used to be big fans of Dennys.Food: 2/5
Dennys Porirua is bloody awesome. Excellent food, well prepared and cooked. A large extensive menu and pretty reasonably priced considering how expensive everything is here now. The young staff are great and always serve with a smile and their ability to carry multiple dishes at once is clever as hell. The atmosphere is what you make it so expecting the restaurant to give you the atmosphere you seek is pretty silly. Go, enjoy, leave, simple.
Came here for dinner tonight and the food was incredible!! Staff were nice the food was definitely the highlight! My partner and I had the honey chicken and garlic and her chicken with chips and salad the chicken was juicy and fresh, chips were delicious and not oily! When visiting Wellington next time we will definitely pop in! Wish we had of came in sooner before our trip was over would have loved to try more items on their menu!
