Alsome experience! We forgot to book a table but they allowed us to enjoy our food at the bar table. The food is delicious and the price is completely reasonable. We ordered a Beef BBQ Burger, a full size Pork Roast and a hot dog. Personal opinion, the Pork Roast is the best! Also the chips are so tasty, very special! The lady who named Sienna provided very good service. We had a good chat. She was very cute and impressive! We will definitely have dinner here if we come to New Plymouth next time.
Great decor and vibe, coffee was good. Meals were o k...nothing special. Ordered one of the big breakfast meals and the small portion egg bene with fried chicken. We'd give the meals a 5/10. Overall ok but not a must do. Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu Parking: Plenty of parking out front
Went here for an early dinner tonight as I had seen good reviews about this reasturant. When entering the reasturant it had a nice feel atmosphere and felt like you were inside an American diner. I ordered the pork ribs. The meal took 40 minutes to come out and the reasturant wasn't even that busy. The staff were very disorganized as they kept on coming up to us with the wrong meals. Once the meal arrived 40 minutes after ordering it was very average. The prok ribs themselves were fine and the meat came straight off the bone. However the chips were some of the worst I have had in a while and were soggy. The meal also cost $35 which i find to be very overpriced for what you get. I would not come back here and would not recommend it as you can far better meals at a better value elsewhere. However the staff were friendly.
Atmosphere and decoration is awesome. Staff is average. The food is awful. Ordered bbq burguer, supposed to come with few things... They added the whole salad not stated km the menu.. The patty is extremely big and DRY. Not recommended.
First time coming to New Plymouth and this is the go to place the Family and I went to very good prices for your money .Well presented, tasted great haha Welcome to the 50’s I ordered -Donut Lime Milkshake - Mega Dog - Chilly Cheese Chips - Cheese Burger Would love to go back to try more….
Was very lovely first off thought was price was expensive as you only got the burger for the price ... but when you got the burger can see why .. chips for me were a little under cooked.. all round good work guys I will be back again would like to try other mealsFood: 4/5
Great food that was just what we expected. Good old burgers and hotdogs! Lots of other options too and definitely lived up to the 'large portion' expectations of an American style diner. Awesome memorabilia/nostalgia around the place too. The shakes are unreal and really yummy! The staff were all super friendly and really speedy with orders. Couldn't fault my experience. Just make sure you go on a very very empty stomach!
Very packed place. Might be a good idea to call in to reserve a table especially if you have 4+ guests. The food was good and chicken in the burger was moist and flavorful but the batter tasted a bit burnt. Shakes were delicious, too. Though the servers were nice, because it was packed, it took some time for our orders to be taken and for our food to arrive.
We popped in for a quick breakfast just after opening on Sunday and Tanya’s service was impeccable. Considering she was the only server working in the customer area and more and more people were coming in she was super quick and friendly. The chef even popped out and helped deliver food to a few tables while Tanya was taking orders elsewhere. It was a great display of team work. We got our food and drinks promptly and they were flawless - great coffee! Big thumbs up to the Sunday team!
Small taste of Americana in New Plymouth, a small diner in the middle of New Plymouth. Down to the American flag the Diner is filled with American flags, glasses, jukebox etc. Very friendly and helpful staff. The place is laid out like a 50s American Diner. The food is excellent and a reasonable price. A unique atmosphere for a kiwi restaurant. A little taste of the USA in little old NP. My wife is from Chicago and loved the atmosphere finding it pretty authentic. I highly recommend a visit to anyone passing through NP. Especially families, the kids with love the giant and colourful Shakes.
